A huge thanks to all of you who came out to The Grange back in November for our community update meeting. Over one hundred Methow Valley community members joined us for a campaign update, helped fill out postcards thanking U.S. Forest Service leadership for advancing our proposal and requesting Secretary Jewell to sign off on that request. Your voices are integral to the success of our campaign, and we’re grateful to have you stand with us and stand up for the future of this special place. The following is a brief campaign update.
Thanks for the continued support!

Methow Headwaters Campaign
Thanks to the leadership of Senators Murray and Cantwell, and with the support of the USFS, BLM, over 135 local businesses and the towns of Twisp and Winthrop, the steps associated with an administrative withdrawal request are advancing. The USFS finalized and submitted the application earlier this month, and is currently being reviewed by BLM and Department of Interior in Washington, D.C. We are awaiting word of final approval by the Obama Administration, and hope to receive that news by early January. Stay tuned for updates and more ways to get involved.
